Not only quarterback Mitch Trubisky left the Steelers on Monday, but other players did as well.
The Steelers formally announced Trubisky’s release shortly after it was first reported on Monday that he was out in Pittsburgh. Additionally, they declared the release of offensive lineman Chuks Okorafor and punter Pressley Harvin.
Harvin, a punter for the Steelers for the past three seasons, was selected in the seventh round of the 2021 draft. During his tenure in Pittsburgh, he averaged 39.4 net yards per kick and less than 35 percent of his punt returns were inside the 20-yard line.
In 2018, Okorafor was selected in the third round by the Steelers. He made 77 overall during his tenure with the team, starting 59 games (48 of which came from 2020–2022).
