Ole Miss Rebels safety Keon Sabb is thought to have been in communication with former Michigan Wolverines safety Lane Kiffin and his staff, which puts them in the running for the top defensive player available in the NCAA Transfer Portal.

When Michigan’s 30-day portal window opened, Sabb went through it. According to On3, the gifted defensive back has since received offers from eighteen colleges that are interested in signing him. The former four-star recruit, who finished 2023 with 28 total tackles, 0.5 tackle for loss, 0.5 sack, two interceptions, and four pass breakups, is ranked as the top available safety in the portal. With regard to safety, Sabb was ranked eighth in the 2022 class.

Ole Miss Rebels defensive lineman Christian Garrett, a four-star recruit from Prince Avenue Christian School in Bogart, Georgia, revealed his top seven schools on Thursday.

According to On3, Garrett is ranked No. 9 among defensive linemen in the 2025 class and No. 71 nationally. Garrett is thinking about committing to the Georgia Bulldogs, Clemson Tigers, Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, Alabama Crimson Tide, Tennessee Volunteers, and USC Trojans in addition to the Rebels.

According to his team’s MaxPreps page, Garrett recorded 86 tackles, nine tackles for loss, and five sacks during his junior season. In the state semifinals, he recorded 10 tackles and two tackles for loss, which was a great performance.

Marcus Wimberly, a three-star 2025 safety out of Bauxite (Ark.) High School, was reportedly offered by the Ole Miss Rebels, he said on Tuesday.

Ole Miss is now on his list of offers, along with the Tennessee Volunteers, Arkansas Razorbacks, Oklahoma Sooners, and Michigan Wolverines. Wimberly plays on both sides of the ball for the Miners, according to his team’s MaxPreps profile, although he projects as a safety at the next level after receiving a three-star rating from On3.

Wimberly’s official height and weight are 183 pounds and 6 feet 1 inch. Jake Schoonover, the Ole Miss special teams coordinator, paid him a visit at the end of January.
