THE VIBE: What if the nation’s party capital hosted a legendary, opulent weekend that combined Art Basel and the Kentucky Derby? It is extravagance. It isn’t available elsewhere. It’s Miami-flavored art and fashion culture mixed with festival spirit and the excitement of a major sporting event.
Friday night, we arrive at the Red Bull Guest House on the expansive Faena Miami estate to find trays of champagne and drinks prepared with Red Bull, of course, a much-needed weekend mainstay. A massive RB6 Formula 1 vehicle roped off in the lobby and the Faena’s iconic gold elephant (her glass case broken by the end of the weekend) must be passed by before the audience can enter. After that, they head to the beach for an unexpected (and quite magnificent) Red Bull Air Force display. Our highly-energized group is then led by a drumline along the beach to a magnificent meal at tables created by Orly Anan, whose artwork was displayed all throughout the hotel.
