Three weeks have passed after the procedure, and Poitras announced he was starting to work out and receive physiotherapy with the staff at Warrior Ice Arena.

According to team-provided footage, Poitras told reporters, “For me, I’m going to try and use this time to put on a bit of size and where I’ve been lacking in some strength.” “It will be a great chance for me to make up for that, Poitras acknowledged that the injury was not the result of a single play and that it had been a problem since the previous season, when he was a member of the OHL’s Gulph Storm.

Poitras stated, “It didn’t really bother me throughout the summer and the start of the season.” Then it would just kind of play by itself, moving on me. It began to affect me around Christmas time.

Poitras claimed he was wearing a brace to assist stabilize the shoulder and prevent it from moving too much while he was playing.
