Texas’s Frisco The Dallas Cowboys have restructured Zack Martin’s contract, their guardian entitlement nine-time Pro Bowl player, freeing up the top salary spot for 2024 and 2025.

The restructuring frees up about $13 million in 2024, putting Dallas below the highest salary of $255.4 million prior to the start of the agency free next Wednesday. Era un año que se anticipa que será desafiante para los Cowboys en 2025, dado el dinero que se debe a contratos vencidos como Martin, Brandin Cooks, DeMarcus Lawrence y más. Además, libre espacio en el tope salarial.

After signing a six-year, $84 million contract with Martin in 2018, All-Pro continued its Salón de la Fama pace for seven times before requesting a raise prior to the 2023 season. The negotiations came to an end after Martin withdrew for the majority of the training camp before receiving a $8.5 million salary increase for the final two seasons of his contract, which ends at the end of the upcoming season.

The Cowboys can now enter the agency free with a little more room to breathe below the top salary, but they will need to make moves in other lucrative contracts, like Dak Prescott, Terence Steele, and Trevon Diggs, in order to have enough money in the agency.

Martin was the captain of 15 games last season and was a member of the seventh-best All-Pro team of his career. During the season, Martin received three penalties and allowed only four captures in 908 games.
