As Adrian Newey moved to Ferrari after Red Bull…

Ferrari are now preparing an offer to convince Adrian Newey to quit Red Bull for the Scuderia with a great focus on a role beyond the Maranello outfit’s Formula 1 team.

The entire Grand Prix paddock are likely to fight it out to sign Newey after the design legend decided it is now time to start a new chapter. He has been in Milton Keynes ever since Red Bull joined Formula 1 in 2005. But their internal power struggle has convinced Newey to go.

Red Bull hold the cards over Newey’s future, though, as his contract runs until up the end of 2025. The team will also be loath to watch Formula 1’s greatest-ever car designer join a rival. Newey has won 12 constructors’ and 13 drivers’ titles with Red Bull, Williams and McLaren.

Ferrari want to make Adrian Newey a ‘super-consultant’ to quit Red Bull
Newey broke into F1 with March in 1988 before taking five constructors’ titles plus with four drivers’ titles at Williams from 1991 to 1996, one constructors’ title and two drivers’ titles at McLaren from 1997 to 2005 and six teams’ and seven drivers’ titles at Red Bull since 2005.

Now, the 65-year-old could add the Scuderia to his CV as Ferrari want to tempt Newey away from Red Bull. That is according to Corriere della Sera, which also reports that Aston Martin and Mercedes are in the mix to sign Newey, if F1’s design icon can break out of his contract.
